I keep coming back to Thailand, even thoug the journey there is long. Something about Thailand keeps pulling me in. The warm climate, the dramatic nature, the incredible food, and the hospitality of the Thai people. But Thailand is a country of contrasts. Some places feel calm and untouched, while others are busy and built for tourism. That’s part of the reason why every trip feels different.
With this guide, I wanted to take you through many of Thailand’s best-known destinations: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Koh Lanta, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Khao Lak, and Koh Chang. These are places where most travelers eventually end up, whether for a day, a week, or longer. Along the way, you’ll see beaches, jungles, temples, night markets, and islands both crowded and quiet.
Not every destination became a favorite of mine. Some I’d happily return to, others I might skip next time. But that’s exactly why this kind of overview is useful. Thailand looks different depending on where you go, and not every place suits every traveler. Still, I’m convinced that anyone can find their spot here — the part of Thailand that feels right for them, just like I found mine.
